On Saturday, September 17, three Kellenberg Academic Quiz Bowl teams traveled to Smithtown High School West to compete in the first tournament of the year. All teams fought valiantly throughout the day, but in the end it was the A Team, consisting of senior Calvin Bernic, juniors Evan Katsounis and Aidan Dowd, and freshman Aidan York, that finished 2nd in the tournament with a record of 10 wins and 3 losses. In addition, Evan Katsounis earned the distinction of being the 3rd highest scorer of the tournament. As a result, Kellenberg has qualified for the National Championships in May. Great job to everyone on all three teams!
